Sydney Uni teaching how sharia law could be integrated into Aussie law.

Dr Ghena Krayem teaches one of the Sydney University courses.

Australia’s most prestigious law school has introduced courses which teach students how sharia law could be incorporated into Australia’s legal system.

As part of Muslim Minorities And The Law, professors Salim Farrar and Dr Ghena Krayem are teaching Sydney University students how polygamy and lowering the age of consent could be sufficiently applied to Western civilisation.

The course uses a book, written by the professors, that promotes the idea that “sharia law and common law are not inherently incompatible”.

A portion of the textbook identifies the benefits of turning away from monogamous relationships and notes how sharia law does not recognise the minimum age in marriage.

“There is no minimum age for a contract of marriage, but it should not be consummated if that would cause harm to the putative spouse,” the book reads.

“Whilst some have argued that there may be reasons for changing marriage laws to include polygamous marriages... there have not been any proposals for any legislative amendment proposed by the Muslim communities in our Common Law jurisdictions.”

Sharia law is Islam’s most religious law and the prospect of its integration into western civilisation has long been condemned given its sometimes radical sentencing recommendations.

However, the Sydney academics believe otherwise.

“When we move to actual recognition in the courts, we will argue that there is much evidence of compatibility… we will suggest that ‘accommodation’ is not enough and that as liberal democratic societies, we should move towards notion of ‘recognition’,” they state in their book.

As with same sex marriage, the 'majority' will not be permitted to have a say - if they dare to speak out the loud mouths from the far left will scream abuse - racists! We are allowing the wrong people to run the country, if we don't do something about it who will we blame? http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_don_t_know.gif

Sharia law has no legal standing in the Australian constitution or in our legal system as far as I am aware. I am happy to be corrected on that. Our far left and "progressive" cults will be all for sharia law until it impinges on their "rights" and they find themselves a target of that law. I really do think that these professors are seeing just how far the " progressives" can be pushed back into the dark ages by using the political correctness cringe against them. So far, those who see themselves as being leaders of a brave new world of the outrage industry, are right out there posturing on social media and elsewhere, hoping to be seen as forward thinking, progressive, sensitive, worthy and virtuous.🙈🙉 They do not seem to be able to see how they are being manipulated by others who have a very different agenda. All this diatribe is, of course, in my opinion. http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/soapbox_888.gif http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_IMHO.png http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_don_t_know.gif

Where is it going to end?
Incorporating polygamy and lowering the age of consent to accommodate a minority group could be just the thin end of the wedge. What next? Protection of rapists? Stoning? Limb amputation? Honour killings?
No other religious or cultural group has made such demands on our constitutional law. In the past we have had a wide spectrum of different cultures that have contributed to our society by accepting our laws and customs. Why should we be making special adjustments to appease one minority group in our society?
This one particular group has proved to be demanding and aggressive and while those making the demands might only be a small section of that group, there are too few prepared to preach integration and acceptance of the Australian way.
I am sickened by what has transpired in Europe and fear that we are failing to learn from recent history.

Its not going to end until they get what they want Charles.

They say that they only want to induce part of Sharia law, but when we look at England this is not the case.

The far left, so called 'progressive', will regret what they are pushing upon us all, until this happens the push will continue...

Muslims 'have the RIGHT to use Sharia law in Britain', says Islamic activist.

AN ISLAMIC activist has claimed that Muslims have the right to use Sharia law and branded the Government’s inquiry into the matter as an “interference”.

Dr Ahmad al-Dubayan, chairman of the UK Board of Sharia Councils – a body set up to standardise the administration of Islamic law – said unregulated Sharia law courts exist “everywhere in the country”.

He told the Home Affairs Select Committee, on Tuesday, that the self-appointed courts are performing marriages and handing out divorces.

Although the unregulated bodies have no legal force or jurisdiction in the UK, they are regularly used by Muslim families to adjudicate on personal matters, the Committee heard.

Many courts reportedly charge for their services, with fees for divorce proceedings often higher than British courts.

The Select Committee heard that if Sharia courts are banned, backstreet courts will continue to operate but will slip even further under the radar.

Labour MP Naz Shah, who also giving evidence, admitted the councils could be used to “oppress” women.

She added: “Sharia itself is actually a code of conduct and the fundamental principal of Sharia is that the law of the land proceeds anything.

“You cannot enforce and have a second parallel legal system in this country.

What doesn't our beloved government understand about this sharia "law?"
We all keep saying the same things over and over, but the governments just ignore it's own people!
How can they possibly say that it's no problem, as the streets are being filled with people that practice sharia law, and they're raping, robbing, killing, abusing, sponging off us, and completely disregarding the law of the countries they choose to come to, (uninvited!) And, they keep allowing more and more to arrive, and we all pay through the nose, and the "visitors" sit back, laughing at the stupidity of this gullible government that is too scared to do what's right, because they don't want to be accused of being politically incorrect! And, I hate that term as well!
So doing the correct thing is called ...incorrect? As scepo said, "Bloody hell! The world has gone completely mad!"
