QUOTE (Bill @ Jun 19 2018, 12:22 AM)
Bill Shorten is wrong about this.

The last thing that the LNP would want is a privatized ABC able to raise income through advertising and subscription services. There is not one media organization in Australia that turns a profit due to falling advertising revenue.

The ABC has the largest infrastructure base and the best digital platform in the country. Give them access to advertising revenue and a subscription service and it would be the final nail in the coffin for commercial media.

Murdoch doesn't want to see the ABC 'privatised' - he wants to see it destroyed as a competitor.

I think your wrong here Bill, Murdock owns about 70% of the newspaper industry and with that the Australian paper is basically a dead loss, but he keeps it going. TV media doesn't really compete with newspapers media. Granted it all comes under the banner of media but the reality is they are different, the same applies to radio media

Our Bill loves wearing his tin foil hat, especially when it has anything to do Rupert. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/biggrin.gif

As for Turnbulls spray, it is a little encouraging but he needs something with a little more substance to it to hit the detestable http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_don_t_know.gif little slime bag with.

I'm sure the Daily TellMeCrap is working on a photoshopped image of Curly in a compromising position with a farm animal or two as we speak scepo. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/biggrin.gif

All the polls are showing a 'tightening f the numbers (52%/48% to Labor), so it will be interesting to see how it goes in Lomngman at the bi-election.

The only poll done there so far gives it to Turnbull 54% to 46% Labor - if that can be believed. My gut feeling ids that it will be closer to the reverse of those figures
