2017 Rugby League World Cup fixtures

http://www.theroar.com.au/rugby-league/rugby-league-world-cup-fixtures/

The 2017 Rugby League World Cup will be the 15th in history, and will be hosted across Australia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand, between October 26 and December 2 2017. Below, you can view all the fixtures for the tournament.

The event will see the same amount of teams as the 2013 World Cup, which was staged in England, Wales, France and Ireland and was won by Australia. 14 teams are taking part.

All games will be live on the Seven Network in Australia, with the final to be hosted in Brisbane. Sydney will only see two games for the entire tournament, with matches to be spread right around Australia.

The quarter-finals will be split between Australia and New Zealand evenly, with Australia’s matches to be played in Darwin and Melbourne, while the New Zealand hosted games will be in Christchurch and Wellington.

The semi-finals meanwhile, will be at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland and Brisbane.

Kick-off times are provisional only and are likely to change.

Brought to you, live and FREE, by the "Home Of Rugby League"......er.....um.....Channel 7........with the added benefit that there will be no Gus, no Freddie, and no Joey

Sounds like Rupert has given up getting Ch 10 and has now set his sights on Ch 7.

Follow the link for the Fixture dates, times, and venues. I don't know how to cpopy/paste a spreadsheet. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/biggrin.gif http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/lbill.gif

Yes but I wonder what wankers Channel 7 will provide for commentary. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/rolleyes.gif

Personally I think Channel 7 generally have worse sporting commentators than Channel 9.

May be worse than the above mentioned fools. http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_don_t_know.gif

Ch 7 will be taking a direct feed from Sky scepo, so the commentators will probably be Fox Sports from Australia NZ, the U.K. and maybe Europe to beam overseas.

The money will be made internationally. Rupes will also broadcast it all on Fox to the pubs and clubs.

Ah. I see Bill. Maybe Sky have decent commentators hey? I hope so. I guess there is a clash/overlap with the cricket, so Nine missed out. Or perhaps they were just out bid. Not that I really care. http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_don_t_know.gif

I think Vossie used to be better than Boofhead Gus and co. Not that it worries me, probably won't watch much of it anyway. http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_don_t_know.gif

When you realise that England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland are fielding teams, why not Queensland and NSW ?

Apart from the obvious reason that ithe current Australian team gives NSW players the opportunity to play in a winning representative side, that is. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/biggrin.gif

There should be some really good games to watch though scepo. The Pacific Islanders are a huge force in the NRL and the English Super League. Exciting to watch.

The World Cup means that they can come home to represent their country and spend time with their families for Xmas at the same time.

Australia should win, because the entire QLD State of Origin side are represented in the 'Australian' side. When it comes to the pointy end Mal will pick what works.
