Melbourne CBD attack.

user posted image

Flinders Street driver Saeed Noori rambled about Allah, Australia's spy agency ASIO and the mistreatment of Muslims in the hours after the attack, police say.

Police revealed more on Friday afternoon about what the 32-year-old drug addict told them as investigators continue to search for a motive behind the rampage.

It comes as Mr Noori was discharged from hospital and into police custody, where he is set to spend the night before being formally interviewed by homicide detectives on Saturday. He has not yet been charged.

Acting Chief Commissioner Shane Patton said police have not ruled out terrorism, but the only clue that suggested a possible link was what Mr Noori told investigators in St Vincent's Hospital on Thursday night.

Well, they have not stated that this is a terror attack - the best our politicians can offer is to condemn these attacks. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/mad.gif

At best we are told that we need to learn to live these attacks, more bollards required might help?? http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_don_t_know.gif

Saeed Noori arrived as a refugee, he has 'mental issues' who caused this, he is angry about the mistreatment of Muslims.

While victims remain in critical care excuses are being made for Noori, a man who is obviously full of hatred - yet we are supposed to feel sorry for him - why was he allowed to drive in his mental state?

Melbourne has to change the way people cross streets at major intersections, there are too many people crossing at one time, most oblivious to a possible threat.

Many of the victims were tourists, these people need to be made aware that such threats are possible down under in the lucky to be alive country - after all, we must now learn to live with it.

I would rather we returned the threat back to where it came from, the cost in lives and millions of taxpayer dollars, it would be well worth it.

....and sending them to NZ would be another big mistake.

Can't say for sure yet, but it's unlikely that this guy has any links to terrorist organisations.

Let's see if our FDNC detectives can work out why that's the most likely scenario. http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/lbill.gif

The Vic Police and the AFP and Brian Trumble have all discounted this being a terrorist attack, although Trumble did 'dog whistle' the fact that the guy was originally from Afghanistan, and presumably arrived by boat circa 2004, was accepted as a refugee and is now an Australian citizen. It must be Labor's fault for not stopping the boats. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/biggrin.gif

One interesting quote over the last couple of days was this...

"The 'alleged' driver (Saeed Noori ) was released from hospital into the care of Victoria Police."

That's a strange choice of words, suggesting that there's more to Saeed Noori's back story than we are being told.

Time will tell, I suppose.

Back to the question - Why is it unlikely that this guy has any links to terrorist organisations ?. http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/lbill.gif

If you don't count the muslim link which would include the insanity of all muslim terrorists there isn't much left other than being a copycat of media sensationalised terrorist acts..

If the authorities can't find a direct connection with a known muslim terrorist group, them he must be one of those "Lone Wolves,", that the pro-islamic do-gooders, the political correctness mob and the media are so fond of labelling any unaffiliated terrorist. This labelling infers that he was on his own and "The religion of peace" is not a factor.

Not if you read the whole paragraph.

The alleged attacker not only spoke about mistreatment of Muslims, Mr Patton said, he also referenced Allah and ASIO.

"We haven't ruled out terrorism and we continue to explore it. I've said that from the outset, but it's about not jumping to conclusions. It's about exploring the evidence and the evidence will ultimately take it where it does and if that means it's a terrorist event, so be it," Mr Patton said.

There seems to be a strong sense of the need to 'mask' terrorism with excuses, mental illness and drug abuse appear to be the choice - the public feel NO better about walking the streets, I class this as another act of Islamic terrorism, no amount of BS will change my mind, people have had enough of the threat born by useless politicians! http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/mad.gif

C'mon Flin -You can do better than that. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/biggrin.gif http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/lbill.gif

Here's a clue. His family came here in 2004 and were accepted as refugees by John Howard.

Family, (Parents and 3 siblings) obtained Australian Citizenship circa 2007.

Now....what group of Afghans would be likely to flee Afghanistan and seek asylum in 2004 ? http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/lbill.gif

Not the Taliban or the Northern Alliance obviously. They were locked in a war for control of the country.

Just as well his "mental illness" is not related to being incarcerated behind barbed wire with armed guards, eh? http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/wink.gif

Great! These ingrates come out here, get naturalised (apparently) and then carry on like total dickheads?!
Of course, we must blame drugs, mental issues! Standard procedure in these cases!
I see the mother doesn't appear to care about anything but her wronged boy!
To reporters, she swung her oversized handbag, verbally abused the reporters, as she was arriving to support her "innocent" son!

She could have chosen to speak to them and say, " I don't know what's the matter with my son, but I can only apologise to the people that were hurt by his uncalled for actions! My boy needs help and I hope that he will be able to get the help he so badly needs. Please tell the people that his family is sorry!"

I think that that would've gone over a lot better than the uncaring, ungrateful attitude that she showed to the reporters. Maybe her background and breeding didn't allow her to have that approach. And yet, she was made a citizen of Australia, for some reason. A reason that John Howard gave her. A reason that she and her son obviously forgot about straight away!
